This is the first public note from Lucid Research. We develop AI systems for specific analytical challenges, prioritizing precision and reliability over generality.

Our work begins with well-defined problems. We design models, experiments, and evaluation protocols to address them directly—without over-engineering or speculative scope.

When appropriate, we share models, datasets, or technical notes. But our primary focus is building tools that perform consistently in demanding environments—not maximizing public output.

This journal documents our approach, key findings, and lessons learned. Entries are concise, technical, and grounded in observed results.
